Registration is open for the Southwestern Water Conservation District’s 42nd Annual Seminar, "One Watershed - Many Voices." The event takes place on Friday, March 27th at the Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio and willbring together water managers, tribal leaders, scientists, policymakers, recreation advocates, and community members for a full-day exploration of the Southwest Basin’s most pressing water challenges -and opportunities. Breakfast and lunch is included. Registration and details are at swwcd.org.
From the headwaters to working landscapes and river economies, the program weaves together water quantity, water quality, and human stories to illuminate how drought, wildfire, development, and changing climate are reshaping our watersheds. Through dynamic panels and keynote conversations, the seminar moves beyond problem-solving toward collaboration and action - highlighting the shared responsibility, local innovation, and collective voice needed to sustain clean, reliable water for the communities and ecosystems that depend on it.
Join the conversation shaping the future of water in the Southwest Basin. One Watershed, Many Voices connects local and regional leaders to explore water quality, supply, recreation, and policy—and how collaboration across communities and jurisdictions can move us forward. Everyone welcome.
