The Durango Arts Center presents the exhibit Leonard Davies: The Joys of Painting as a Pastime January 9 - February 28, 2026 in the Barbara Conrad Gallery. Davies retired from a distinguished career as a civil rights attorney, and began oil painting at the age of 70. His show features southwest landscapes, and is free to the public Tuesday - Saturday, Noon - 6 pm. An opening reception will take place from 5-7 pm, Friday, January 9.

The Animas Museum's Second Saturday Seminar series continues at 1PM on January 10th with the talk "Railhead Animas City: To Be or Not To Be," by local historian Robert McDaniel. The event will also be available on Zoom. Details are at animasmuseum.org.
