Roll for initiative! New members are welcome, and no experience is necessary, but you will need to set up a character before you can join our ongoing campaign. Please reach out at kelly@prlibrary.org to schedule a time for that!

A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death; it is not a grief support group. The Death Café offers an accessible, respectful and confidential space where strangers gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Death Cafés are open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems. The model was developed by Jon Underwood and Sue Barsky Reid, based on the ideas of Bernard Crettaz. To find out more visit: deathcafe.com. Your facilitator, Lola Montano, has been hosting the Bayfield Death Café since October 2021. Lola is a hospice nurse at Mercy Hospice House, and a trained death doula. Lola volunteers for hospice and the NODA (No One Dies Alone) program at the hospital. She is passionate about demystifying death, in order to help people prepare for the end.

Hang out in the teen area for cards, tabletop games, and more! Ease into the after school time at the library with space to play, read, work on homework, and chill. You choose what works for you!

Animas High School will host “Raising Young Adults in an AI World,” a community conversation about the opportunities and challenges facing those who are parenting, supporting and teaching youth today in a world of rapidly developing Artificial Intelligence. The event takes place at 5:30 on Monday, February 23rd. Animashighschool.com has more information.
