The 7th annual Dia de los Ninos Celebration takes place in the Learning Commons Plaza at San Juan College in Farmington from 9 until noon on Saturday, April 25th. Local organizations will be highlighting summer kid's activities and resources at this free event.

The Durango Nature Center will host Bird Walks on the following dates and times:
Saturday, April 25th - from 9 until noon.
Saturday, May 23rd - from 8:30 until noon.
Saturday, June 13th - from 8 until noon.

Durango Devo invites the public to the 17th annual Bike Swap at Chapman Hill on Saturday, April 25th.
Drop off of bikes and gear will take place from 9 to 7 on Friday, April 24th.
Volunteers receive early entry.

The Bike Swap will feature new and used bikes and related equipment for children and adults.

The Under One Moon Arts Festival taking place at Tico Time River Resort on April 25-26, 2026 will bridge the gaps between ages, art forms, and communities in Durango music, dance, and theater performances as well visual arts exhibitions during our fundraising festival. This festival will serve as a fundraising event supporting youth access to the arts! We will be donating our proceeds to two organizations, The Genesis Inspiration Foundation- a nonprofit organization founded in 2018 with a mission to connect youth to the transformative power of the arts- as well as Durango Friends of the Arts- an all-volunteer organization raising funds for projects and programs whose goals provide educational and cultural benefits to the people of the greater Durango area. We will connect student artists from a range of art institutions locally including Stillwater Music, iamMusic, Prickly pear dance, Durango Dance, and Bella Dance with local and regional performing artists in an effort to join organizations and art forms in the area. This celebration will not only bring Durango citizens together, but will also provide a platform to help under-resourced youth access the arts both locally and in our nation. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be divided between the two organizations and donated!

Meghan and Aidan have REALLY done it this time… apparently a normal jungle hike was just too boring. After stumbling across an abandoned prehistoric-looking science lab, Aidan finds a pencil labeled “DO NOT USE.” So naturally… he uses it. One innocent Pterodactyl drawing and a machine startup later — BOOM!— Terry the Pterodactyl bursts out, flapping, squawking, and declaring that anyone who isn’t a dinosaur MUST leave the island! Now Meghan and Aidan must outsmart their own flying mistake before this Pterodactyl handles the situation his way. Think you can help? Good. Because they are absolutely not qualified to handle this alone…

The BREWS FOR RESCUES BEER FEST takes place from noon until 4 on Saturday, April 25th, at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds. the event will include music, food trucks, an artisan goods market, and over 40 craft beers, ciders and more. All proceeds support Rugby’s Rescue House, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehoming dogs and cats from Native American reservations.
