Experience the bold, expressive world of Matthew Sievers in The Memory of Moments, a new exhibition of paintings on view at Blue Rain Durango from July 16 to July 31, 2025. The artist will attend a reception on July 18th from 5–8 p.m. and will offer a live demonstration of his technique on July 19th from 2–4 p.m.
Based in Idaho, he continues to pursue new inspiration, pushing the boundaries of his medium while staying rooted in the emotional resonance that defines his work.
The ELHI Community Center in Ignacio will host a weekly Community Block Party from 5 to 7 every Friday from June 6th through October 13th.The events will showcase handmade goods, homegrown produce by local farmers, plus artisans, crafters and more. Theelhiignacio.org has more information.
Time to get artistic with the TeenAfter Hours Painting Party! Whether you are a beginner or a practiced artist, there willbe fun to go around. Four free concerts will be held on select Fridays throughout the summer at Swanny City Park. The free concerts are open to the public, and folks are encouraged to come with their friends and families. Beer and wine will be available for the adults. The concert stage will be set up adjacent to the pavilion, providing a perfect picnic spot for all under the large cottonwoods and a playground for the kiddos. We encourage everyone to walk, bike, or use the MAT to attend the concerts. Showtime is 6 to 9 PM. Opening acts begin at 6 PM. Main Stage performers will start at 7 PM. KZMU Community Radio will livestream on 90.1 FM and kzmu.org.
