Japanese Tea Ceremony is known for its meditative and "in the moment" wellness attributes. Learnabout tea ceremony's history, philosophy, and wellness qualities. Participants will watcha ceremony, learn how to make matcha tea properly, and enjoy a Japanese sweet withmatcha. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED.

The Durango Public Library will host a Death Café at 4PM on Monday, January 27th. The event is a group directed discussion of death; it is not a grief support group. The objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives.
Facilitated by Lola Montano, local hospice nurse and trained death doula.
A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death; it is not a grief support group. Our objective is to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives. The program offers an accessible, respectful and confidential space where strangers gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Death Cafés are open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems. The meeting is a directed discussion of death; it is not a grief support group.
