The annual "Music for Masada" fundraising concert takes place at the Farmington Civic Center on Saturday, May 11th, featuringDinner, music, dancing, and a silent auction. The theme is "Empowering Women in Recovery" and proceeds benefit Masada House (A local non-profit transitional living residence for women recovering from substance abuse.) Music lineup includes Mark Smith, Ashleigh Bennett, Island Style, Desert Thunder, and Breezin'.
Tickets are also available at Four Corners Accounting & Bookkeeping, Washington Federal Bank, and Studio 116.$30 per person in advance - $35 at the door

The Bonnie Dallas Senior Center in Farmington presents the High Desert Games Senior Olympics. Registration opens Monday, February 12th and the games run March 15th through May 31st. The Games are open to those 50 years and up - and will feature table tennis, darts, bocce ball, and field day... to shuffleboard, pickleball, chess, and more. Sign up is at fmtn.org/BDSC or in person at the Senior Center.

Five Rivers Trout Unlimited presents "Learn from the Pros - How to take your kids fly fishing" from 9 to 11 on Sunday, May 12th at Rotary Park in Durango.More information is at 5riverstu.org.
Will Blanchard of Rio Epic Outfitters and his son Ben, will be demonstrating "HOW TO TAKE YOUR KIDS FISHING" at Rotary Park. We'll start there and then walk over to Huck Finn pond for more demonstrations and hopefully some fish caught!
Everything you need to know from what age is a good age to start your kids, how to keep them engaged, gear for kids and more will be presented.

Durango Mutual Aid invites the public to their weekly Peoples Potluck Lunch from 2 to 4PM every Sunday at Buckley Park.Those interested may bring gear & supplies for homeless community members,
If you want, bring your own chairs, dishes, games & activities, and whatever else you think might be fun or helpful.
This is subject to change, pending various scenarios. The backup location is at Iris Park.
Bring food to share (prepared dishes, groceries and non-perishables for distribution, etc.), clothing & gear, personal hygiene supplies, toiletries, AA & AAA batteries, propane bottles, etc. Please bring items that are in good condition.

Snowy Plovers will play from 5:00-7:00pm at Fenceline Cidery on Sunday, May 12. Featuring Shanti Savage on mandolin and Erik Nordstrom on acoustic guitar, the Snowy Plovers play Irish-Americana music in a traditional manner, along with a modern sensibility.
