The Bears Ears Partnership will host Please join "Visit With Respect" Volunteer Ambassador Training on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Bearsearspartnership.org has more information.
If hiking and the outdoors sounds like a great combination for volunteering, then join us for a one-day training session. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and practice the skills needed to be one of our on-the-ground Visit with Respect Ambassadors.
It is a FREE in-person event and will be held at the Bears Ears Education Center. The event will be indoor training, including a workshop in the morning, and a hike in the afternoon.
Hollywood Huckfest returns to Purgatory Resort on March 21 from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
This slopestyle-freeride competition takes place on the expert terrain of Catharsis run, featuring kickers above cliff faces. The event is open to skiers and snowboarders ages 10 and older. Each athlete receives two judged runs and will be scored on air, tricks, cleanness of landings, and overall riding ability.
The day begins with check-in and a mandatory athlete meeting at Hoody’s, followed by venue inspection and competition runs by age division. Awards will be presented at 4:00 PM on the Hoody’s Deck.
The event is organized by Durango Winter Sports Club and supported by Homeslice Pizza, Pit Viper Sunglasses, Pine Needle Mountaineering, and Coffee Bear Silverton.
The Tibetan Buddhism Practice Group meets every Saturday to share guided meditations on compassion. No experience needed, all are welcome.

The Durango Arts Center presents Trey Parker’s Cannibal! The Musical!, running March 20th through the 29th! Based on the true story of Alfred Packer. The play is 65 minutes of dark comedy, big laughs, wild adventure, and toe-tapping music. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door with, $20 student tickets. Recommended audiences are 16 and up, due to mature content. Show times, dates, and tickets are online at www.durangoarts.org under the Performing Arts Tab. This show is the first of the 2026 Durango Arts Repertory Arts season celebrating "The State We’re In" for 150 years of Colorado Statehood.

The Durango Arts Center and Our Own Lives presents the second annual exhibit Disability Art Show, through April 4th in the Barbara Conrad Gallery. Our Own Lives is a non-profit organization that provides direct services to the disability community in Southwest Colorado. Their show features work by more than two dozen local artists. , and is free to the public Tuesday - Saturday, Noon - 6 pm.
