Durango Kennel Club Rattlesnake Avoidance Clinic – Saturday September 20, 2025
The Durango Kennel Club will be hosting our next rattlesnake avoidance clinic on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Sky Ute/Ignacio Fairgrounds. If you have a dog that hasn’t been through the training, registration for the clinic is now open on PerfDog.com - https://app.perfdog.com/event/an9ox8CjMQYLWmnrH. First time testing registration is $100 per dog. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.
Once again, we will be offering a retest for any dog that went through the training at one of our past clinics. The retest consists of exposing the dog to the rattlesnake without the e-collar to test their reaction (avoidance or non-avoidance). If the dog fails to avoid the rattlesnake, you will be able to repeat the initial training with the e-collar. The cost for a retest is $50 and includes retraining if necessary.
Art classes for adults and youth continue at the Durango Arts Center in comic book creation, stained glass, adult portrait painting, figure drawing, pottery and more. Details and registration are at durangoarts.org.
