Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Coca-Cola Bear are making a special stop at Purgatory Resort on Saturday, Dec. 21, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Join the visit on Ski Beach between runs, bring the kids, and capture classic Santa photos while enjoying a festive afternoon at the base area.

Purgatory Resort hosts its traditional New Year’s Eve Fireworks and Torchlight Parade on Tuesday, Dec. 31, from 6 to 7 p.m. The evening begins with a torchlit skiing parade as ski instructors and mountain patrol descend to the base area carrying torches. A fireworks show follows to close out the celebration. Guests are invited to gather at Ski Beach to watch the parade and fireworks as the resort marks its 60th anniversary.
Iam Music presents a New Year’s Eve – African Dance Party, with Zimbabwean percussionist, vocalist, and bandleader Blessing Bled Chimanga, along with the Eli Emmitt Band and DJ Panacea. Doors open at 8 at the Durango Arts Center.More information is at iammusic.us.
