Durango Aikido invites adults 18 and up to learn Aikido. Win the battles within as Aikido teaches self-refinement through self-defense. The 12-week course begins January 19th, 2026 and offers several affordable pricing packages. Durango Aikido is a 501c3 nonprofit proudly serving the community since 2002. Workout using your own body weight or light hand weights to work all the body parts! The free classes are always similar in style but always different moves to keep it fun and fresh. You’ll need a yoga mat & light hand weights. If you don’t have them, they are extras that can be used. Each class is around 35 min. long. Modifications are always available. It’s always a fun, upbeat, encouraging, and a great workout. Taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! A screening of "The Boys Who Said No - Draft Resistance and the Vietnam War," will take place at the Durango Friends Meeting House at 11AM on Sunday, December 21st.
The Durango Arts Center is hosting the 2025 Holiday Gift Gallery Tuesdays - Saturdays from Noon - 6 pm, through December 23. Fine art, and hand crafted items from local artists are for sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting education programs at the DAC.
