The 7th International Mountain Medicine Symposium takes place in Silverton, starting Wednesday, September 17th. It will feature seminars on state of the art medical education, alpine rescue and high end avalanche awareness. The CSU Extension "Health Without Barriers" Program starts on Tuesday, January 7th, and is a whole family wellness program, continuing twice a week for 6 weeks at La Plata County Fairgrounds. Childcare and dinner are provided at each session. More information is at 970-657-0141.

Sound bowl therapy, also known as a sound bath, uses harmonic vibrations to promote deep relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance mental clarity.
