The Health & Safety Fair returns to the Farmington Recreation Center on Saturday, April 27th at noon. It will be followed by the "San Juan Showdown" strongman competition from 2 to 5pm.

Workout using your own body weight or light hand weights to work all the body parts! The free classes are always similar in style but always different moves to keep it fun and fresh. You’ll need a yoga mat & light hand weights. If you don’t have them, they are extras that can be used. Each class is around 35 min. long. Modifications are always available. It’s always a fun, upbeat, encouraging, and a great workout. Taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! The CSU Extension Office invites families with teens to participate the the wellness program "Health Without Barriers" at La Plata Fairgrounds. The 6 week program starts on Tuesday, January 23rd. The "Take Off Pounds Sensibly" support group meets each Wednesday morning at 8:30 at La Plata County Senior Services.
TOPS is available to men, women and children from age 7 up and is a noncommercial weight-loss support group.
The first in-person meeting is free (Membership starts at $49/year).
