Bear Smart Durango will host a hands-on demonstration on setting up temporary electric fencing to protect fruit trees from bears. The event takes place from 6 to 7:30 on Monday, September 29th at 1901 Florida Road. Carpooling is recommended. Bearsmartdurango.org has more information.
Various options and materials will be discussed and attendees will assist in installing a quick and easy system that can easily be removed after bear season. Ample parking is available, but carpooling is recommended. Apple cider refreshments will be provided. Co-sponsored by The Good Food Collective.

The Ignacio Community Church's Clothing Closet will provide free clothing, jackets and shoes to the needy every Tuesday and Friday from 10 until 2 at the ELHI Community Center.
