Starting March 28, childhood developmental experts from the Early Childhood Council will host weekly school readiness workshops for children ages 3-5 and their caregivers at Pine River Library. The program will run every Thursday from 11-11:30 AM, March 28-May 3. Participants will also receive a free book and other goodies to help support their readiness to thrive in school while supplies last!

The CSU Extension Office invites families with teens to participate the the wellness program "Health Without Barriers" at La Plata Fairgrounds. The 6 week program starts on Tuesday, January 23rd. Five Rivers Trout Unlimited presents "Learn from the Pros - How to take your kids fly fishing" from 9 to 11 on Sunday, May 12th at Rotary Park in Durango.More information is at 5riverstu.org.
Will Blanchard of Rio Epic Outfitters and his son Ben, will be demonstrating "HOW TO TAKE YOUR KIDS FISHING" at Rotary Park. We'll start there and then walk over to Huck Finn pond for more demonstrations and hopefully some fish caught!
Everything you need to know from what age is a good age to start your kids, how to keep them engaged, gear for kids and more will be presented.
