The public may honor the lives of military veterans at Durango's Greenmount Cemetery by purchasing a wreath at bluestarmomsofdurango.org. The deadline to purchase a wreath is Friday, November 28, for placement in December.
Checks can be mailed to Blue Star Moms of Durango, PO Box 874, Bayfield, CO 81122. Wreaths Across America remembers, honors and teaches about our fallen military heroes.
Durango resident, Doris Allen, will have her debut art exhibit at Turquoise Raven Art Gallery in Cortez, CO. The exhibit will start Friday, Oct. 3 through Friday, Oct. 31st. "Casas del Alma' is a collection of collage, mixed media and non-representational art. Doris' Colombian roots influence her work as well as her background in architecture and design. Vivid colors and impeccable design shine through all of her art.
Friday afternoons are all about having fun building, playing, exploring, and creating together! 1st Friday of the month: STEM, 2nd & 4th Friday: LEGO, 3rd Friday: Art. If there's a 5th Friday, we'll let you know what it will be! Great for ages 5-12 and families!
Join us in the community room for games (Xbox, Oculus, Roblox, etc), activities, music, and snacks! On the third Thursday of each month, watch for something special: possibly cooking, maybe international snacks - who knows?!

The Downtown Durango Children's Halloween is a free event for kids 10 and under, on Friday, October 31st, from 4 to 6PM: including a trick-or-treat opportunity with 75 plus businesses, a Children's Carnival & Trunk-or-Treat at the TBK Bank parking lot, games and more.DowntownDurango.org has more information.
All donations will support the Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County. Please note there is NO PARKING in the TBK Bank parking lot.
