The Durango Arts Center presents the exhibit “Nature’s Tapestry in Plein Air” (Plein rhymes with ten) through October 25, 2025 in the Barbara Conrad Gallery. 44 works by local artists are on exhibit along with 10 entries from the Quick Draw competition. Chimney Rock National Monument will host an Autumnal Equinox Tour from 5 to 7:30AM on Monday, September 22nd.Information and Tickets are at chimneyrockco.org.
Watch the sun rise over the San Juan Mountains this first morning of fall. With a 360-degree vantage point from the Great House Pueblo. we will discuss the significance the equinox played in the lives of the Ancestral Puebloans.
Cost: The fee is $20.00 for ages 13 and up, $10.00 for ages 5-12, and under 5 are free

Alternative Horizons is in need of volunteers to help in their mission of supporting survivors of domestic violence. Volunteers receive comprehensive training, plus ongoing staff support.
The next training takes place September 19th, 20th and 26th.

Mysteries of Chimney Rock Tour provides an in-depth discussion along the Great House Trail about the connection of Chimney Rock to the greater Chacon culture, the significance of the mesa-top Great House, and the day-to-day lives of the ancestral inhabitants of Chimney Rock.

HIIT stands for High Intense Interval Training. Each class will consist of a demonstration, warm-up, and 10-12 stations where we will focus on a specific body group per station. We will rotate through 3 rounds with a short break between each round. When the work out is over we cool down and stretch.
All equipment will be provided. These HIITs will be outside, please plan accordingly and bring your own water.
