The ballet, "Cocktail Hour" will be presented as part of San Juan College’s Artists Series - at the Henderson Fine Arts Center on Friday, September 12th at 7pm.Tickets are free but must be reserved. Details are at sanjuancollege.edu.

The Sunflower Theatre in Cortez will Showcase Indigenous Cultures with the program ‘"The Eagle and the Condor Flying Together" at 7PM on Tuesday, September 16th. Students from Ecuadorian universities will share stories, traditions, and perspectives from their lives in the Andes.Tandanafoundation.org has more information.
The Tandana Foundation, a nonprofit organization that partners with communities in remote regions of Ecuador and Mali, will immerse attendees in the indigenous Kichwa Otavalo culture of Ecuador. The Ecuadorian students will be visiting the U.S. for two weeks and participating in service projects and intercultural exchange with the Hopi Nation, and with Montezuma and La Plata County communities.
The special event will also feature a sampling of typical Ecuadorian dishes, presentation of traditional clothing, and introduction to Kichwa Otavalo dance.
