Blessing “Bled” Chimanga is an internationally acclaimed Zimbabwean musician, singer, and songwriter, celebrated for his electrifying stage presence and remarkable talent as a multi-instrumentalist.

The Ignacio Community Library hosts Chautauqua Speaker Becky Stone, who will give a presentation and answer questions as famed abolitionist and Underground Railroad operator Harriet Tubman.
The event takes place at 6PM on Wednesday, September 3rd.

West Coast Swing is a partner dance that can be danced to a wide variety of music. Our 6 Week Basics of West Coast Swing Class begin August 25th.

The ballet, "Cocktail Hour" will be presented as part of San Juan College’s Artists Series - at the Henderson Fine Arts Center on Friday, September 12th at 7pm.

Suitable for audiences of all ages, the show transports theatergoers through time and around the world with original choreography, music, and costume design.

The engagement will feature the premiere of “Bombay,” a female quartet with a new score.

The Sunflower Theatre in Cortez will Showcase Indigenous Cultures with the program ‘"The Eagle and the Condor Flying Together" at 7PM on Tuesday, September 16th. Students from Ecuadorian universities will share stories, traditions, and perspectives from their lives in the Andes.

The Tandana Foundation, a nonprofit organization that partners with communities in remote regions of Ecuador and Mali, will immerse attendees in the indigenous Kichwa Otavalo culture of Ecuador.
The Ecuadorian students will be visiting the U.S. for two weeks and participating in service projects and intercultural exchange with the Hopi Nation, and with Montezuma and La Plata County communities.

The special event will also feature a sampling of typical Ecuadorian dishes, presentation of traditional clothing, and introduction to Kichwa Otavalo dance.

Featured on Comedy Central and NPR, NYC comedian and writer Naomi Karavani brings her razor-sharp, darkly funny stand-up to the Durango Arts Center.
