The public may honor the lives of military veterans at Durango's Greenmount Cemetery by purchasing a wreath at bluestarmomsofdurango.org. The deadline to purchase a wreath is Friday, November 28, for placement in December.
Checks can be mailed to Blue Star Moms of Durango, PO Box 874, Bayfield, CO 81122. Wreaths Across America remembers, honors and teaches about our fallen military heroes.
The Durango Arts Center presents the workshop Storytelling through Street Photography, 9 am - 3:30 pm Saturday and Sunday, November 1 & 2, 2025. Participants will learn how to spot storytelling moments, master composition, and build confidence with candid portraits with instructor Noah Maier. The workshop is open to all levels (from cell phone camera to Hasselblad, film to digital). Register is at www.durangoarts.org under classes.

The Durango Arts Center presents the photo series "Stay Tuned," by local artist Benjamin Dukeminier through Wednesday, November 12th. The show asks what will remain of us when we are gone - and how will our lives be pieced together? Part broadcast from an imagined future, part reflection on our present lives, Stay Tuned continues an investigation into the fragile imprint humanity leaves behind. Gallery hours are Tuesdays - Saturdays noon - 6 pm.

Bring your current beading projects to work on, or join us for the first time and learn with supplies provided and guidance from a lead beader. Enjoy blue corn cookies and tea as we gather in community to share, learn, and celebrate together in a space of respect and connection.
The Animas Museum will host a "Portrait of Colorado at 150" Storytelling Initiative on Saturday, November 1st, at 2PM. There will also be a Zoom option at animasmuseum.org.
Join Kim Kennedy-White, the Associate Curator of Oral History at History Colorado, to learn about the Portrait of Colorado at 150 Project and then walk through the basics of oral history collection.
