The monthly event has been a consistent gathering in Durango for over ten years. This year’s calendar of hosts includes nearly 30 local sustainability-related organizations and three organizations hosting each month.The event takes place from 5-7PM at 11th Street Station on the last Thursday of each month from February to October. February’s event will be on Thursday, February 27th with Great Old Broads for Wilderness, Turtle Lake Refuge, and the La Plata County Regional Housing Authority hosting.
Come learn about summer volunteer opportunities at the Adaptive Sports Association! We are looking for volunteers to help with indoor rock climbing, cycling, camping, paddle sports, mountain biking, rafting, camping as well as help with events, equipment logistics, host homes, and much more! Roll for initiative! New members are welcome, and no experience is necessary, but you need to set up a character before you can join our ongoing Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Please reach out to kelly@prlibrary.org to schedule a time for that.
Baby Time is tailored for babies from birth-12 months together with their favorite adult!
Enjoy 15-20 minutes of early literacy activities followed by a playgroup. We sing songs, bounce to action rhymes, and share stories, providing a rich environment for babies to hear language and interact with others.
Applications are now open for the 32nd Durango Autumn Arts Festival presented by the Durango Arts Center, on September 19th & 20th. The application deadline is May 1st, and details are at durango arts.org.
This juried show serves as the DAC’s signature fundraising event, and there is a $50 nonrefundable application fee.
Crafternoon
Join us every week for Friday fun! We will create craft projects such as pony beady buddies, quilling designs, jewelry making, crochet, and much more! This drop in activity time is open to all ages. Folks are free to come and go as they please, and we encourage caregivers to participate alongside their little ones, as these activities are not monitored in the way that our registration required programs are.
