The free workshop "Managing Uncertainty & Fear of Recurrence - Tools for Cancer Patients" will take place at 1701 Main Avenue in Durango at 4:30 on Thursday, January 22nd. Five Rivers Trout Unlimited will host a Trout Tales and Fly Tying session at 5:30 on Thursday, January 22nd at Animas Brewing in Durango. More information is at fiveriverstu.org.
We had so much fun in December, we're going to keep it going with our Trout Tales events. This time, bring your fly tying gear (or we'll have extra for a few people) and tie while you chat, drink a beer, and eat some yummy grub. Anyone with any tying experience is welcome.

The Durango Public Library will host "All About Plastic Recycling" from 6 to 8PM on Thursday, January 22nd. The event features a short documentary followed by talks from three guest speakers:
Michael Rendon (FLC associate professor specializing in waste policy)Mark Thompson (founder of Phoenix Recycling), andJim Smith from the Durango Waste Management Department.
A Q&A session will follow. The event is sponsored by the Durango Dharma Center.
Delbert Anderson, a Dine jazz trumpet artist, composer, and educator, stands at the forefront of a vibrant Native American jazz scene. His work, deeply rooted in his Dine heritage, seamlessly integrates Navajo "spinning songs" of love, healing, and courtship with jazz and funk.
Robert Muller is a pianist and keyboardist based in Santa Fe, NM, with experience ranging from local bars to international music festivals.
Khalill Brown, with roots in the Blackfoot and Cherokee tribes, is a dynamic Funk/Fusion drummer based in Denver.
Evan Suiter is a seasoned bassist with a repertoire spanning jazz, country, Latin, funk, classical, and rock/pop genres.
