The Good Food Collective and Durango Tool Library have teamed up to help with local fruit harvesting, to reduce human-bear conflict, eliminate food waste, and directly address food security.More information is at goodfoodcollective.org.

The 7th International Mountain Medicine Symposium takes place in Silverton, starting Wednesday, September 17th. It will feature seminars on state of the art medical education, alpine rescue and high end avalanche awareness. A rope rescue course will be offered the preceding Thursday and Friday. mountainmedicinesymposium.org has registration and details.
Art classes for adults and youth continue at the Durango Arts Center in comic book creation, stained glass, adult portrait painting, figure drawing, pottery and more. Details and registration are at durangoarts.org.
After enjoying the Twin Buttes scenic single track head down to the farm stand to grab local ingredients for a delicious meal. Fresh locally grown Durango produce, fruits, grass fed beef and local honey.Additionally we have free range eggs and fresh artisan cheeses.
