The Southwest Sierra Club invites the public to a La Plata Canyon Beaver Talk and Tour from 10 until 2 on Saturday, August 9th.
Space is limited.

Nichole Fox of Give A Dam will host.

The Great House Tour goes to the top of the mesa ridge for a 360-degree panoramic view of the landscape and a close-up of the two pinnacles with stops along the way to learn about the ancient Puebloan structures.

Pine River Shares provides FREE food distribution on the second Saturday of each month from 11 until noon at the ELHI Community Center in Ignacio.

The Durango Arts Center’s gallery exhibit "Balance," by the Studio ART Quilt Associates continues through August 30, 2025 from Noon – 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. This free event has a collection of art quilts from Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah quilt artists.

The Second Saturday Seminar Series at the Animas Museum in Durango continues on August 9th at 1PM, with the subject "Peace - The End of World War II and La Plata County." A Zoom link and more information is at animasmuseum.org.

(Because we do not have air conditioning at the Museum, we encourage you to watch on Zoom although we will stream it in the Classroom.)

The Stroll of the Three Sisters Tour takes visitors along the Mesa Village Trail where they will learn about an agricultural village and the crops and other foods grown and gathered there.
