The Four Corners Gem and Mineral Show has issued a Call For Volunteers.
The event takes place at La Plata County Fairgrounds from July 11th through the 13th.

This event relies on local volunteers to make it happen. Volunteering for at least 1 shift will grant you free access to the show for all three days.

We serve only the LOCAL districts including Dove Creek, Montezuma-Cortez, Mancos, Dolores, Durango, Silverton, Bayfield, Ignacio, and Archuleta. Our virtual, public school has been serving our community for over 14 years.

As summer unfolds across our high-desert landscape, we invite you to experience the beauty of nature at the 12th Annual Gardens on Tour. This year's self-guided tour features nine unique gardens. It begins with two well-loved public destinations—the Durango Botanic Gardens and Durango Hot Springs—followed by seven diverse and thoughtfully designed private gardens that reflect local gardeners' ingenuity, adaptability, and design. The event celebrates 15 years of creativity and community, with a Bar B Q dinner, local beer and wine, live music, a silent auction, and more — in support of local arts.

Chimney Rock National Monument presents a "Flute Music at Twilight" program from 6 to 8PM on Saturday, June 21st.

It begins with a guided short walk through a Mesa Village followed by live Native American flute music accompanied by a deepening night sky to reveal celestial bodies.
