Join us for the opening reception of Our Nature: Threshold, a debut group exhibition showcasing the work of five emerging local teen artists: Ari Brown, Tatum Corley, Maily Lancaster, Allyra Meeker, and Maily Lancaster.
Developed through a mentorship program centered on self-expression, creative exploration, and professional exhibition experience, this powerful show marks each artist’s first foray into the world of contemporary art. Working across diverse mediums and themes, the artists explore the concept of threshold—a space of transformation, tension, and becoming—through their own unique perspectives.Presented at the Durango Creative District Gallery from August 12–29, the exhibition invites viewers into the imaginations of a new generation. These works speak to personal growth, identity, place, and the profound transitions that define both art and adolescence.
This program is made possible thanks to the City of Durango’s Lodgers’ Tax: Arts & Culture Fund and the Durango Creative District, with mentorship provided by Bekah Kolbe of Blue Rain Gallery, through a partnership with Seed Studio.
