The “No Secret Police in Durango” Petition Committee is gathering signatures of registered voters in the City of Durango through March 6, to place before City Council or Durango voters an ordinance that prohibits masking of law enforcement officers and requires visible identification. The Durango residents conducting the citizen‑initiated petition drive to place a no‑mask, visible‑ID ordinance for law enforcement before the Durango City Council or before city voters will be collecting signatures at Durango Public Library Thursday, February 19th from 1pm to 3pm; and Saturday, February 21st from 1pm to 3pm and at the Indivisible Durango General Meeting at Durango Public Library 2:30 PM to 5 PM Saturday February 21st. The presentation "Help protect Wildlife in Colorado and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge" takes place at the Durango Public Library at 11AM on Saturday, February 21st.
Learn how. to protect wildlife in Colorado and the Arctic National Wildlife, Refuge, an arctic Serengeti with herds of caribou crucial to the Gwichen tribe - as well as polar bears, arctic foxes and millions of birds that migrate there to breed.
Equality Pagosa hosts a "Stand Up Saturday" event from noon until 2PM every week in the public parking lot next to the Ruby Sisson Library.
