Alternative Horizons is in need of volunteers to help in their mission of supporting survivors of domestic violence. Volunteers receive comprehensive training, plus ongoing staff support.

These FREE classes offer a safe and supportive environment for anyone exploring how to navigate addictive tendencies, those who are "sober curious," or individuals in recovery from addiction. We aim to enhance overall well-being and quality of life, regardless of where you are on your journey.

Compassionate discussion on the deeper causes and patterns of addictive habits.Gentle, body-centered movement, breathwork, and meditation practices to support self-regulation and inner peace.Practical tools to be used in everyday life that will empower you on your path of healing and self-discovery.Classes are open to anyone seeking to address their addictive habits or explore a sober-curious lifestyle, whether you are relatively new to the paths of yoga and recovery, or have extensive experience in both.
The Great House Tour goes to the top of the mesa ridge for a 360-degree panoramic view of the landscape and a close-up of the two pinnacles with stops along the way to learn about the ancient Puebloan structures.

The Stroll of the Three Sisters Tour takes visitors along the Mesa Village Trail where they will learn about an agricultural village and the crops and other foods grown and gathered there.

Chimney Rock National Monument presents a "Tour of the Night Sky" Program, focuses on the Ancient Puebloans who once studied the night skies, along with interactive talks about the life cycle of a star, categories of galaxies, telescopes and other topics.The event takes place at 8:15 on Friday, September 19th. The 7th International Mountain Medicine Symposium takes place in Silverton, starting Wednesday, September 17th. It will feature seminars on state of the art medical education, alpine rescue and high end avalanche awareness. Chimney Rock Through the Ages Tour explores both the natural and cultural history of the area through geologic time and incorporates the anthropology and archeology of the Puebloan people.
