The Bonnie Dallas Senior Center in Farmington presents the High Desert Games Senior Olympics. Registration opens Monday, February 12th and the games run March 15th through May 31st. The Games are open to those 50 years and up - and will feature table tennis, darts, bocce ball, and field day... to shuffleboard, pickleball, chess, and more. Sign up is at fmtn.org/BDSC or in person at the Senior Center.

Learn how to sew & make this adorable little tote all in 30 minutes! You won’t want to miss this class to learn such a valuable skill.
In this $25 introduction to sewing class, you will have a one on one experience with the instructor, Christy Hicks, owner of Just Ask Christy –Artisanal Goods & Services. You will have the chance to learn how to thread a sewing machine, wind a bobbin, sew basic straight stitches, make a gusset & hand stitch on a button or two. Availability is limited & will be held just two days only.
This is a simple starter project & will be very useful in your home, office, camper or even as a housewarming gift bag filled with goodies. The three tote materials shown are provided & you may choose your preference of fabric & buttons at the beginning of your class. Be sure to show up 10 min early so you can pick from the selection available before your class starts. The items provided will make this bag which is 8” wide x 5” D x 6” high. However, if you don’t want it folded down inside for sturdier sides, you can end up with a bag that is approx. 12” high for magazines, yarn, snacks or hand towels. Bring a friend and one of you can enjoy some tea while the other is in the class and then switch.
The contents shown inside the bag are for example and/or size reference only. One free gift tag is offered if needed.
Phoenix Recycling will host a Mulch giveaway from 2 to 6pm on Friday, May 3rd AND from 9am to 1pm on Saturday, May 4th.Phoenix employees will load mulch into vehicles. All loads must be covered before leaving.
