Earth Day 5K

Earth Day 5K

The Durango Running Club will host the inaugural Earth Day 5K run on Saturday, April 18th at 8:30 AM at Rotary Park in Durango.
This event is a fun run/walk format, and there will be no timing or prizes.
All proceeds will go to benefit the non-profit Compañeros, the only organization in the region with its primary focus on serving immigrants.

Durango's Earth Day Celebration will follow the run. Events include a Main Avenue parade at 10:30, as well as a festival in Buckley Park from 11 to 3.

Runners and walkers will go north on the Animas River Trail from Rotary Park, and will run or walk 1.55 miles north to just before 32nd Street. Participants will then turn around and finish at Rotary park. Please note this will be a Zero Waste event. Participants are encouraged to carry their own water.

Compañeros offers unique and crucial services to our community. Services include resource navigation, legal services, education outreach, and community engagement. More information is at companeros.org
