KSUT welcomes Carter Sampson & the Jackalopes for a live KSUT session at 1:30 PM Thursday, followed by a performance at Concert Hall @ Buckley Park in Durango.

Oklahoma born and raised, award-winning songwriter Carter Sampson returns to KSUT for a live in-studio session with her band The Jackalopes, hosted by Chris Aaland Thursday at 1:30 pm.

Sampson won first place in the Chris Austin Song Contest at Merlefest and was a top 10 finalist in the Telluride Bluegrass Festival Troubadour Contest and Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriter Showcase. She is also the founder and director of The Rock n’ Roll Camp for Girls OKC, a nonprofit volunteer run organization that empowers girls through music education.

Following their KSUT session, Carter Sampson & the Jackalopes will perform at the Concert Hall @ The Park series in Buckley Park at 5:30 pm.
