KSUT to host Nashville Songs & Stories "Writers in the Round" live session, Thursday at 2:30 PM

Nashville Songs & Stories "Writers in the Round" featuring renowned songwriters Paul Overstreet, Danny Myrick and Megan Linville, will join KSUT for a live session, Thursday, June 22 at 2:30 PM, hosted by Tami Graham.

Overstreet has written and co-written 27 top ten songs, his first being George Jones' Same Ole Me. Numerous other artists have recorded his songs including Randy Travis, Tanya Tucker, Alison Kraus, The Judds, and Kenny Chesney. He's also written and recorded many hit songs himself.

Danny Myrick grew up playing, singing, and writing for his family gospel band in south Mississippi and had his first #1 song at the age of 17. He has gone on to have songs recorded by a diverse range of artists from Montgomery Gentry to Joe Cocker and has celebrated many hits.

Born and raised in Nashville, Megan Linville recorded her first album at the age of 19 with producer John Carter Cash. Her self-penned recording of Wrapped Up In Love is the closing credits song for Hallmark Network’s perennial holiday favorite Snow Bride. Linville was featured as one of CMT’s Artist Discoveries and her music video for This Old Town reached number 3 on CMT’s 12 Pack Countdown. She is now the new voice of Blue Bell Ice Cream.

Tune-in for their live KSUT session at 2:30 PM MDT. KSUT listening options here.

The three songwriters will be joined by colleague Jeffrey Steele for a performance Saturday evening at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College in partnership with the Glacier Club of Durango. Tickets and information here.
