Spring Drive; it's Books & Coffee Day on KSUT

It's Spring Fund Drive, Day 4, Books & Coffee Day, sponsored by local institution, Maria's Bookshop. We'll be drawing for books and coffee, while hosting and zooming in with notable folks in our community and some great musical guests from the Peguis First Nation Canada, and Taos, New Mexico. Today's Guests:

8-9 a.m., Blake Crouch, bestselling novelist and screenwriter joins Jim Belcher around Morning Edition. He is the author of the novel, Dark Matter, for which he is writing the screenplay for Sony Pictures. His international-bestselling Wayward Pines trilogy was adapted into a television series for FOX, and he has written more than a dozen novels. With Chad Hodge, Crouch also created Good Behavior, the TNT television show based on his Letty Dobesh novellas. Blake lives in Durango.

9:00 a.m., Tribal Radio, reporter Sarah Flower visits with Sheila Nanaeto about local news.

9:30 a.m., Nancy Stoffer from the Durango Public Library and host of the weekly reading module "Page One" joins Stasia Lanier.

10:30 a.m., First Nation singer-songwriter William Prince will join Sheila Nanaeto and Stasia Lanier for a live virtual KSUT Session. Prince will perform at the 26th Annual Four Corners Folk Festival. Tune-in on both Four Corners and Tribal Radio.

1:06 p.m., Eliza Gilkyson will join Chris Aaland for a live virtual KSUT Session. Eliza will perform at the 26th Annual Four Corners Folk Festival.

2:30 p.m., Maria's Bookshop folks Sara Knight and Evan Schertz will join Chris Aaland.

5:00 p.m., KSUT content manager Mark Duggan will zoom in with Kenny around All Things Considered.

Morning Prize: 'Coffee for a Year' from Durango Coffee Company.
Includes 12 bags of Durango Coffee Company beans, delivered periodically throughout the year. Drawing at 12 noon.

Afternoon Prize: 2022 Music in the Mountains (July 7-31): Includes 10 B-tickets to any combination of performances. Drawing at 5 p.m.

Day Prize: A year’s worth of books from Maria’s bookshop which includes: a bundle of books each month (4-6) that match the winner’s interest
- unreleased advanced reader copies of titles that are rare and only available in the backrooms of bookstores like Maria’s, giving readers a coveted “first look” at books that everyone else is waiting for. Drawing at 6 p.m.
