It's a monolith, a great mass of rounded stone, rising straight up a thousand feet above the surrounding desert plain and considered sacred by Aborigines. Contrary to the wishes of the Ananu, some foreign visitors climb the rock. Walking the pathway is considered a spiritual journey and is acceptable.
