Grand Canyon National Park

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday upheld a lower district court's decision to dismiss a lawsuit from 2024 that looked to overturn Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni — or the Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon.

The Dragon Bravo fire continues to burn in remote pockets of the park. Federal officials have not yet provided details on their response to lawmakers.

The persistent Dragon Bravo Fire on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon destroyed dozens of buildings this weekend. Perhaps none were more iconic than the Grand Canyon Lodge.
