An Arc Flash Safety Demonstration is a great way to learn not only about electric safety, but also about the incredible work LPEA lineworkers do every day. During this demonstration, you’ll see:

- How an electrical arc can happen
- What causes your lights to blink
- What an electrical contact can look like
- How to prevent electrical accidents in the home and business
- How to stay safe around power lines
- What to do in a car accident involving power lines
- Why it’s important to call 811 before digging

This demo is suitable for any age group, from elementary school students all the way up to adults. Please note that this is a safety demonstration with live electrical currents, so we do ask that young children be closely monitored. Photo ID will be needed to access LPEA's facility.

Studio B hosts a monthly movement and mental health "Walk & Talk" event along the Animas River Trail on the first Tuesday of each month at 12:30 PM.
Those interested should meet behind the Durango Public library​, adjacent to the River Trail​.

The public is invited to the Ignacio Community Library's Grief Support Group at 3PM on the first Tuesday of each month. More information is at ignaciolibrary.org.
