The Durango Arts Center presents the exhibit Leonard Davies: The Joys of Painting as a Pastime January 9 - February 28, 2026 in the Barbara Conrad Gallery. Davies retired from a distinguished career as a civil rights attorney, and began oil painting at the age of 70. His show features southwest landscapes, and is free to the public Tuesday - Saturday, Noon - 6 pm. An opening reception will take place from 5-7 pm, Friday, January 9.
Shining Mountain Health and Wellness will host Cervical Cancer Awareness Lunch and Learn session at noon on Thursday, January 15th in the Leonard C. Burch Building in Ignacio. Lunch will be provided.Registration is required at surveymonkey.com/cervicalcancer2026.

The Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College will host "Constellations of Place," a major exhibition rooted in the landscapes and layered histories of Southwest Colorado. The opening reception takes place Thursday, January 15th from 4:30 to 6:30, Featuring live music by Diné artist, Kino Benally.
Guest curated by Dr. Meranda Roberts, the exhibit will feature a selection of over 60 textiles, pottery, beadwork, 2D works, and mixed media pieces from the Center’s permanent collections alongside the work of 13 invited contemporary Native American, Indigenous, and Latin artists.
