The CARE Program is a FREE income-qualified energy efficiency program for homeowners and renters in Archuleta and La Plata Counties. Participants receive a free energy audit for their home and free efficiency upgrades such as insulation, air sealing measures and efficient lighting. English-Spanish Conversation Hour – First Mondays at the Animas Valley GrangeThe Animas Valley Grange will host English and Spanish Conversation Hour the first Monday of every month from 5:00-6:30 pm. Our next meeting will be Feb. 3. All levels of proficiency are welcome. We will dividie our time between speaking English and Spanish. There is a separate room for children to play games. Free and open to the public. The Animas Valley Grange is located at 7271 County Road 203, about 1 mi. north of Durango Hot Springs. Each month a member of the group will bring an article for discussion.
Participants also have the option to bring two pages of their own writing to read aloud, but it’s not required. If you’d like to read your own writing, please bring it in manuscript format.
