The League of Women Voters of La Plata County will host the "Action is the Antidote for Anxiety," meeting - with a focus on immigration, healthcare, environmental protection, along with voter rights and security... on Saturday, October 4th from 3 to 5PM at the Durango Public Library.
Join us in the community room for games (Xbox, Oculus, Roblox, etc), activities, music, and snacks! On the third Thursday of each month, watch for something special: possibly cooking, maybe international snacks - who knows?!
This October, LPEA invites members to connect, learn, and engage with leadership and energy experts during National Co-op Month.
Drop by for some face-to-face time with LPEA leadership. Share your thoughts and ideas, and ask any questions you may have. There's no formal agenda—just an informal gathering where your co-op leadership listens to you!

Artist Bio:Shawn Ahkeah is a full-blood Dine’ (Navajo) artist based out of the Four Corners. His main mediums are acrylics, charcoal, and graphite.Mr. Ahkeah’s work depicts the beauty of the Dine’ people and their culture.
The Durango Arts Center presents the exhibit “Nature’s Tapestry in Plein Air” (Plein rhymes with ten) through October 25, 2025 in the Barbara Conrad Gallery. 44 works by local artists are on exhibit along with 10 entries from the Quick Draw competition. Most of the works are for sale. Gallery hours are Noon – 6:00 pm, Tuesday – Saturday. Information can be found at www.durangoarts.org

America’s premiere professional trumpet ensemble, Tromba Mundi will give the World Premiere of San Juan Sketches. After intermission, the celebration continues with the impactful Pines of Rome.

Workout using your own body weight or light hand weights to work all the body parts! The free classes are always similar in style but always different moves to keep it fun and fresh. You’ll need a yoga mat & light hand weights. If you don’t have them, they are extras that can be used. Each class is around 35 min. long. Modifications are always available. It’s always a fun, upbeat, encouraging, and a great workout. Taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!
