The Durango Public Library will host a Climate Support Group on the 2nd Monday of each month at 4:30PM. The public is invited to share thoughts and feelings about the climate crisis in community.
Climate Support Groups are not action oriented, Rather, they're an opportunity to build an ecosystem of community, to cultivate resilience, and to continue to meet the unknown future from a place of connection - to self, community, and earth. All are welcome.
Hannah Smith holds a Masters in Social Work as well as an Advanced Certificate in Ecotherapy. She is a member of the Climate Psychology Alliance and is passionate about turning towards the ecology crisis from a place of embodied connection with the more-than-human world.

At a Death Cafe people gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Our objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'.
A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death; it is not a grief support group.
The Death Café offers an accessible, respectful and confidential space where strangers gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Death Cafés are open to, and respectful of, people of all communities and belief systems.Details are at deathcafe.com.
We will be meeting the in Program Room on the second floor of the library.
