Durango Aikido invites adults 18 and up to learn Aikido. Win the battles within as Aikido teaches self-refinement through self-defense. The 12-week course begins January 19th, 2026 and offers several affordable pricing packages. Durango Aikido is a 501c3 nonprofit proudly serving the community since 2002. Workout using your own body weight or light hand weights to work all the body parts! The free classes are always similar in style but always different moves to keep it fun and fresh. You’ll need a yoga mat & light hand weights. If you don’t have them, they are extras that can be used. Each class is around 35 min. long. Modifications are always available. It’s always a fun, upbeat, encouraging, and a great workout. Taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! Drop in to connect with other families/caregivers and foster a playful environment for preschool aged kids.

Coffee, tea, healthy snacks and a play space are provided.

The Ignacio Community Church's Clothing Closet will provide free clothing, jackets and shoes to the needy every Tuesday and Friday from 10 until 2 at the ELHI Community Center.

Baby Time is tailored for babies from birth-12 months together with their favorite adult! Enjoy 15-20 minutes of early literacy activities followed by a playgroup. We sing songs, bounce to action rhymes, and share stories, providing a rich environment for babies to hear language and interact with others.

NOTE: The library will be closed on November 28th.

The Durango Arts Center is hosting the 2025 Holiday Gift Gallery Tuesdays - Saturdays from Noon - 6 pm, through December 23. Fine art, and hand crafted items from local artists are for sale, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting education programs at the DAC.

2nd Fridays: Crafternoon
3rd Fridays: Pokemon
4th Fridays: Crafternoon

Join us every week for Friday fun! The first and third Fridays will have a Legos or Pokemon focus. On the remaining Fridays each month, we will create craft projects such as pony beady buddies, quilling designs, jewelry making, crochet, and much more!

This drop in activity time is open to all ages. Folks are free to come and go as they please, and we encourage caregivers to participate alongside their little ones, as these activities are not monitored in the way that our registration required programs are.
