Free Radon Education Sessions + Free Test Kits

Free Radon Education Sessions + Free Test Kits

La Plata Public Health is offering free radon education sessions for County homeowners. Attendees will learn what radon is, how home radon testing works, and how to reduce exposure. Each session includes a free radon test kit.

Radon is an invisible, odorless gas that can only be detected through testing. Due to Southwest Colorado’s geology, many homes in La Plata County have radon levels higher than the national average. Testing your home is easy, and fixing high radon levels is often simpler and less expensive than many other home repairs.
