The 2020 Census deadline is September 30; why local citizens should consider responding

**UPDATE 10/2/2020** A federal judge has issued an order clarifying that the U.S. Census Bureau must continue counting for the 2020 census through October 31. The latest ruling follows an appeal from the Trump Administration to halt counting nearly a month early.

A ruling issued by a federal judge on Friday, October 2 clarifies that the U.S. census count must continue through the end of the month. Census takers continue to canvass communities. And as KSUT's Sarah Flower reports, efforts also continue to make sure rural and Native American populations are counted.
