It’s been an dramatic week of bike racing in Colorado. Pro cyclists have battled it out at high speed in the state’s thin mountain air. Today, more than one hundred and thirty racers will start in Breckenridge—then they’ll leave Colorado’s high country for Colorado Springs. On Thursday, German-born Jens Voigt took command of Independence Pass early on and dominated the stage. KSUT reporter Elise Thatcher accidentally saw some of that action first hand.
