The free monthly concert series kicks off tonight with Canadian harp player Gary Farmer.

KSUT Public Radio, along with Crash Music Aztec, presents Ignacio Blues, a new monthly concert series at the 49 Lounge at Sky Ute Casino Resort.

The free series begins with Gary Farmer tonight (September 16) at 6:00 p.m.

Farmer is an Ontario native and member of the Cayuga Nation.

He and his band the Troublemakers have released two CD's, Lovesick Blues (2009), and Love Songs and Other Issues (2007.) Farmer formed the Troublemakers in Santa Fe in 2005 and plays harmonica and sings.

Farmer also has a noted career in television and movies, and may be best known for his role as 'Nobody,' the cryptic Native American guide in Jim Jarmusch's 1995 film Dead Man. He's also appeared with Nicolas Cage and Meryl Streep in Adaptation, a West Wing episode, and several Canadian TV series.

See Farmer's IMDB page.
