May 17 Sunday
All are welcome! Whether you have been knitting and/or crocheting for years or you would like to learn, we are happy to have you and will do our best to help you get started.
The San Juan Symphony presents “The Harmony Games,” featuring narrator, conductor, and chamber orchestra in a concert experience that will entertain and educate using incredible music.
Mathematics meets music for kids, with concepts like counting, meter, phrase, pulse, harmony, polyphony, chromatics, and more.
The story of the very first orchestra begins in a faraway land, where four fussy families had to learn to work together to make music. Audiences will find themselves swept up in the story, taking part, interacting, answering math problems, even cracking jokes! Good fun for all ages and an introduction to the families of instruments.
*Arrive Early for the Instrument Petting Zoo beginning at 1pm in the Henderson Fine Arts Center Lobby. Audience members are invited to touch, investigate, and explore the instruments of the orchestra under the guidance of our SJS musicians! An engaging opportunity for kids and kids at heart! All ages welcome.
