Movie Monday at Fort Lewis Mesa Library. Free family-friendly movies each Monday until school starts. 8/4: "The Minecraft Movie" (PG), 8/11: "Mufasa: The Lion King' (PG), 8/18: 'Dog Man' (PG).
The Durango Arts Center presents "Silent Sundays" with pianist Adam Swanson at 2PM on August 10th, featuring live musical accompaniment of two silent films. Tickets and information are available at DurangoArts.org and at the door.
The films are “We Faw Down” – with Laurel Hardy, and “The Great K & A Train Robbery” starring Tom Mix. Tickets for this family-friendly event are $15 general admission and $10 for students.
Every other week, EsoTerra Ciderwork's new venue on the corner of College and Main Ave will host a Jazz/Funk/Soul Jam Session with a different musical theme. Seasoned local musicians will guide regional and visiting musicians (everyone's invited!) through a jam session to hone their talents, and to connect musicians to other musicians. Hosted indoors during the winter months, and on the patio during the warm months.
