The Colorado Black Equity Study team will host a Community Listening Session at noon on Saturday, April 11th at Fort Lewis College, in Skyhawk Station room 118.The public is invited to learn about the study’s progress and contribute by sharing lived experiences in a guided discussion.
The Colorado Black Equity Study is conducting evidence-based historical research about practices, systems, and policies of the State of Colorado that have harmfully impacted Black Coloradans. As part of these efforts, the study team from History Colorado is engaging with communities through listening sessions to gather input based on personal experiences. This event is free.
Equality Pagosa hosts a "Stand Up Saturday" event from noon until 2PM every week in the public parking lot next to the Ruby Sisson Library.
Everyone is invited to exercise their 1st Amendment rights at these gatherings.

The 30th annual Durango Bluegrass Meltdown takes place from April 10th through 12th, featuring national, regional, and local bluegrass music across five downtown venues, including the Durango Arts Center, Animas City Theatre, and Wild Horse Saloon.
In addition to ticketed concerts, the weekend features several free public events, including a Friday Welcome Concert, Friday Contra Dance, Band Contest, Saturday Night Barn Dance, and late-night shows.

For this weeks free live music we have Jamie & The Dreamers! They bring a sound that blends folk, reggae, and soft rock into a heartfelt sonic experience. With just $7, two backpacks, and a baritone ukulele, their journey began on the open road and has blossomed into a full-bodied, self-produced musical project. Jody’s expressive songwriting paired with Amy’s seasoned vocals create an atmosphere that uplifts and inspires.
