Now in its 4th year, "Nashville Songs and Stories - Writers in the Round" brings award-winning songwriters to the stage to reveal the stories behind their hit songs, then perform them as originally written. The artists change every year, and are writers for artists such as Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Aerosmith, LOCASH, Rascal Flatts and others.
All proceeds benefit La Plata County Search and Rescue.
The Durango Arts Repertory Theatre presents The Spitfire Grill, Fridays - Sundays at the Durango Arts Center, through August 31, 2025 with a special "pay what you can" performance on Monday, August 25.
The Spitfire Grill, is set in a small-town rural café, about a prison parolee seeking a new life. Show times are 7:30 p.m. and 2:00 pm for the Sunday Matinees

Registration is now open for the Aikido Starter Session hosted by Durango Shin Budo Kai, a 501c3 nonprofit offering nonviolent conflict mitigation to the Four Corners since 2002. Workout using your own body weight or light hand weights to work all the body parts! The free classes are always similar in style but always different moves to keep it fun and fresh. You’ll need a yoga mat & light hand weights. If you don’t have them, they are extras that can be used. Each class is around 35 min. long. Modifications are always available. It’s always a fun, upbeat, encouraging, and a great workout. Taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!
