Stillwater Music will host an all-ages Mandolin workshop for players of all levels who want to play in a full mandolin orchestra. Any related instrument is welcome (mandolin, mandola, octave mandolin/bouzouki, mandocello). SATURDAY & SUNDAY FROM 10AM-1PM. (6/14 & 15)The event culminates in a performance on Sunday at 12:30. Workshop highlights:-rehearse and perform in a mandolin orchestra with expert guidance-learn ensemble techniques. phrasing and musicianship-explore a variety of styles-connect with other mandolin enthusiasts in a collaborative, music-filled weekend!-final group performance in The Light Box at Stillwater Music on Sunday at 12:30pm
In level one students learn a wide array of basic tools to begin a successful burlesque career. This includes beginner's strength and flexibility, dance fundamentals, burlesque movement and strip tease, basic musicality, stage makeup, solo choreography creation, performance polish, and booking tips. In the end, you have the option to show off what you've learned in our student showcase at The Subterrain! As long as you join us for the group performance, you can also sign up to do your own solo. The Four Corners Gem and Mineral Show has issued a Call For Volunteers.The event takes place at La Plata County Fairgrounds from July 11th through the 13th.More information is at durangorocks.org.
This event relies on local volunteers to make it happen. Volunteering for at least 1 shift will grant you free access to the show for all three days.

Workout using your own body weight or light hand weights to work all the body parts! The free classes are always similar in style but always different moves to keep it fun and fresh. You’ll need a yoga mat & light hand weights. If you don’t have them, they are extras that can be used. Each class is around 35 min. long. Modifications are always available. It’s always a fun, upbeat, encouraging, and a great workout. Taught by Tammy Williams, certified fitness instructor. All ages and fitness levels are welcome! The Great House Tour goes to the top of the mesa ridge for a 360-degree panoramic view of the landscape and a close-up of the two pinnacles with stops along the way to learn about the ancient Puebloan structures.
