Artist Talk with Rapheal Begay, Diné Photographer + Curator
The Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College presents an artist talk with Diné photographer and curator, Rapheal Begay at 6:30 on Wednesday, April 22nd.
Rapheal is a “visual storyteller” based in Tségháhoodzání (Window Rock, Arizona), who uses cultural landscape photography, Indigenous storytelling traditions, and land-based knowledge to inform his creative practice.
Rapheal will discuss his collaborative approach to creating ALL REZ: , the first traveling site-specific photography exhibition across the Navajo Nation.
This artist talk is connected to our yearlong series of programming under the “Power of Place” initiative, made possible with generous support from the Belonging Colorado initiative of The Denver Foundation and the Greater Good Science Center.
