Jazz vocalist Catherine Russell and her pianist Mark Shane will join KSUT for an in-studio session, Friday, February 4, at 9:30 AM, hosted by Tami Graham, and broadcast live on KSUT from Eagle Sound.

The Grammy Award-winning Russell is best known for her stunning vocal approach and interpretive works in blues and early jazz. As the daughter of pioneering and legendary musicians Luis Russell and Carline Ray, Catherine Russell was born into jazz royalty.

Her professional life began touring and recording with Steely Dan and David Bowie among others, before launching her jazz career with her 2006 debut album Cat.

With an off-the-beaten-path song selection, sparkling acoustic swing, and a stunning vocal approach, Catherine Russell has joined the ranks of the greatest interpreters and performers of American Popular Song.

Russell is kicking off her new Send For Me album release tour in Durango.
