Community Calendar

Four free concerts will be held on select Fridays throughout the summer at Swanny City Park. The free concerts are open to the public, and folks are encouraged to come with their friends and families. Beer and wine will be available for the adults. The concert stage will be set up adjacent to the pavilion, providing a perfect picnic spot for all under the large cottonwoods and a playground for the kiddos. We encourage everyone to walk, bike, or use the MAT to attend the concerts. Showtime is 6 to 9 PM. Opening acts begin at 6 PM. Main Stage performers will start at 7 PM. KZMU Community Radio will livestream on 90.1 FM and kzmu.org.

The Village Band will perform a free concert of ragtime in the Aztec Museum & Pioneer Village on Friday, September 12, at 7 p.m.

The group includes several members of the San Juan Symphony, local music teachers, and other seasoned musicians.

The Aztec Museum's free concerts are made possible by grants from the Connie Gotsch Arts Foundation, The New Mexico Music Commission, Northwest New Mexico Arts Council, and private donors.

The Bayfield Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays from 8 until noon - and on Tuesdays from 4 to 7 - at 1328 County Road 501, through October 25th.

The 5th Annual Durango Natural Foods Harvest Fest takes place from 3 until 8 on Saturday, September 13th at Rotary Park, featuring live music by Mojobirds, a community meal, local vendors, kids activities and more.

Boulder-based artist Ethan J. Perry performs solo acoustic shows featuring introspective and genre-blending music that promises an intimate, heartfelt experience.

Every other week, EsoTerra Ciderwork's new venue on the corner of College and Main Ave will host a Jazz/Funk/Soul Jam Session with a different musical theme. Seasoned local musicians will guide regional and visiting musicians (everyone's invited!) through a jam session to hone their talents, and to connect musicians to other musicians. Hosted indoors during the winter months, and on the patio during the warm months.
